Kalman Pool’s paintings exist at the intersection of physical gesture and digital imagination. Rooted in speculative biology and cosmic narratives, his canvases often echo the organic forms of his inflatable sculptures and the visual logic of his VR environments. Through intuitive mark-making and vibrant color fields, he conjures fluid, hybrid lifeforms that oscillate between the abstract and the visceral. These paintings serve as analog counterparts to his digital creatures—moments of stillness within a world of transformation.
