KPAS STUDIO

Established in 2023 in Buji, Shenzhen, KPAS STUDIO (Kalman Pool Art Studio) is an 800-square-meter hybrid space transformed from a former garment factory into a vibrant artist studio and experimental exhibition venue.

Founded and directed by Kalman Pool, KPAS serves as both a base for his large-scale inflatable sculptures and painting production, and as a platform for showcasing emerging narratives in contemporary art. The space features double-height ceilings and an open-floor structure that allows the presentation of monumental works, immersive installations, and multi-sensory experiences.

Since its opening, KPAS has hosted a series of solo and collaborative exhibitions, including a launch show featuring Pool's signature colorful inflatables and luminous paintings. The studio also functions as a site for performance art, VR experimentation, fabrication, and research into new materials and forms.

Beyond being a production space, KPAS reflects Kalman Pool's long-term vision to cultivate a new artistic ecosystem rooted in innovation, bold expression, and the continuous reshaping of the boundary between the digital and the tangible.

From speculative inflatable creatures to conjoined VR worlds, KPAS is not only the birthplace of Kalman Pool's future-facing projects, but also a beacon of transdisciplinary creation in southern China.
